Are you interested in learning more about neurodiversity and building community on campus? If so, feel free to join a book club where students, faculty, and staff are invited to read and discuss Unmasking Autism by Devon Price.
Everyone is welcome at book club, whether you’ve had a chance to read the book or not! Some of the club’s goals are to build community and have open, respectful discussions about working toward a greater awareness and acceptance of neurodiversity on campus. The club would love to welcome you to one meeting or all three, whatever you have the space for this semester.
If you are at all interested in joining, please fill out this survey. Thanks to an EAIDI grant, the club has funding for 25 books; you can request a copy in the survey if you would like to receive one.
The club will meet from 12 – 1:00pm on the following dates in Main 200:
- October 9 (suggested reading: Introduction – Chapter 2)
- October 30 (suggested reading: Chapter 3 – 6)
- November 13 (suggested reading: Chapter 7 – conclusion)
- The time for this meeting may change.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Jacqueline Alnes (jalnes@wcupa.edu).
